Abia State Government Declares Zero Tolerance for Cultism and Gang Violence

Umuahia is standing at a turning point as the State Government launches a massive security offensive against the cultism and gang violence that has recently plagued our university zones.

Following a series of violent clashes involving illegal weapons, the government has declared that the safety of students and business owners is non-negotiable. Residents should be aware that security forces are now authorized to apprehend anyone participating in cult meetings or using gang signals on public roads.

In a significant shift toward digital enforcement, mobile phones are now subject to inspection, and those found with incriminating evidence of gang affiliation will face remand without bail or plea options. This is a final call for parental accountability; the administration has stated they are not interested in hearing appeals from families after an arrest is made.

To ensure total coverage, a detachment of plainclothes officers is currently operating in total disguise, meaning offenders will not know they are being watched until they are in custody. As intelligence agencies move to prosecute the financiers behind these crimes, all well-meaning citizens are urged to report suspicious gatherings to the nearest authorities immediately to help restore the peace we all deserve.
