On Saturday 30th March, 2024 the Honourable Commissioner for Labour and Man Power, Akwa Ibom State; Hon. Aniefiok Nkom held a ward congress in Mbiaso; Ikot Ekpene Ward 10 and solicited for grassroot support for Pastor Umo Eno.
The congress which started at about 12:35pm had members of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), in the ward level.
In attendance was the Honourable Supervisor for Youth and Sports, Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area; Comr. Israel Robert, PDP Ward Chairman; the Woman Leader; and other party faithfuls.
While in his remark, the Honourable Commissioner assured the people of ward 10 that Governor Umo Eno have good thoughts for them and added that for the 1 project per local government approved by he Governor, Ikot Ekpene will have two projects; Health Care Center and International Market in which plans are ongoing for its successful execution.
He also added that concerning "Arise Shelter" where the governor is providing shelter for the aged in the 31 local government areas of the state, that the Governor is committed and all logistics for the execution of the project have been put in place.
However, about the rumours spreading that the Governor will be decamping to another party, the Honourable Commissioner used the medium to inform the people that the Governor remains a bonafide member of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and that he is ot thinking nor dream to lave the party for any reason.
High point of the ward congress was a token for Transportation from the Honourable Commissioner to everyone that made it to the ward congress.
