In pursuance of community development and in cultivating a community development mindset in teenagers and youths, the CEO of the Community Based Non-Profit Organization; Adiahaobong Foundation, Dr. Mfon-ete Michael is sponsoring 3 interested contestants for the Beauty Pageant whose aim is also inline with the vision of her foundation; Girl Child Development.
According to her, the three interested persons must come from the 3 Senatorial Districts in Akwa Ibom; Eket, Uyo and Ikot Ekpene.
She added that she intends to work with the 3 sponsored candidates in community projects to affect their immediate environments positively.
In her words: "As an Akwa Ibomite, and one passionate about community development, I want to encourage those coming behind me to engage in same. Let's spread the love to our communities".
A True Humanitarian starts from his or her roots in spreading love and affects the community positively. She added.
She also added that it is not the volume of finances that matters, but the little deeds of kindness that touches the hearts of those who truly need love and giving them a reason to smile. Little drops of water indeed makes a mighty ocean.
Face of Valentine Pageant is designed to promote the Campaign against Sexual
Harassment, Girl Child Abuse, Gender-Based Violence, Early Marriage and lots more.
The pageant is also aimed at giving the girl child a voice in the society while
encouraging them to become role models, female leaders and Peace Ambassadors.
It is expected that any Girl Child that eventually emerge Face of Valentine, is an Ambassador and as such,
should execute life touching projects while giving back to the society.
