GIST: See how CRAF marked World Music Day 2020.


Amidst the pandemic, the World Music Day had planned couple of activities to mark and celebrate the abundant talents that abound in the world and Calabar was not left out as the umbrella body covering the Artiste in the state, Cross River Artistes Forum (CRAF) marked it in a memorable way.

First with an interview on SparklingFm 92.3 Calabar, which had in attendance Tushi Gucci (the p.r.o craf), YoungBone, DJ scar,Mr White and hills baby.

Hosted by dollars of Sparklingfm 92 an OAP of international reputation.

Issues discussed was on artiste welfare in calabar,how to get national visibility etc.

The p.r.o encouraged and solicited for better patronage from private and corporate Bodies.

while Radio stations were asked to play songs from home grown talents.

Artistes on the other hand, were encouraged to use social media space to get attention so as to be heard or discovered.

Suggestions was raised by the p.r.o craf for a seminar for music artiste that really don't know how use social media like Twitter, Instagram etc.

Young Bone asked event planners in CRS to respect and compensate artiste in CRS adequately.

Dollars tasked renowned event manager, Jossy on calabar events an the need to pay calabar artistes handsomely than flying artiste from Lagos and get to pay heavily.

However, He(Jossy) answers that CRS artistes lacks value to be  paid  such reasonable amount of cash.

Later that the day, the team moved to the streets of Calabar to publicise the Calabar audience on  world music day.
The team members  included;  Young Bone, La kasablanka, Jerry plain,Effiom Trombone(SA, Entertainment) , Upper Dee, Tushi Gucci,OROK DUKE(CRAF chairman)  And vice Shanky, and Nice Chriz.
