WHEN EVERYTHING IS CONTENT!!

WHEN EVERYTHING IS CONTENT!!
Part 1: The Video I Almost Posted

By Ehmmiê | Lifestyle, WePlayVibes

Life is more than what meets the eye; sometimes, all it takes is a different question to uncover a different truth. So, let’s look closer.

I was having an emotional breakdown when I thought of making a video.

Not because I was enjoying the moment. Not because something beautiful had happened. I was going through something, yet a part of me thought to record it and post it.

I made the video. Then I paused.

What’s the need to put this bullshit out there?

I didn't post it.

That moment left me with a question: When did sharing our lives become such an automatic response that even our difficult moments could turn into content?

Think about it. Something happens, and before we have fully processed it, we're already thinking about how to capture it, caption it, or share it.

Sometimes, sharing helps us connect. Sometimes, it gives us a way to express ourselves. There is nothing inherently wrong with that.

But what happens when we start viewing our experiences through the eyes of an imaginary audience?

When the first thought isn't “How am I feeling?” but “What would people think if they saw this?”

We may not even post everything we record. Still, the instinct to turn a private experience into a public one is worth examining.

Not every emotion needs to be explained online. Not every difficult day needs to become a vulnerable caption. And not every moment needs witnesses to be real.

Sometimes, you can put your phone down and allow yourself to feel what you feel without wondering how it would look on a screen.

Because there is a difference between sharing your life and feeling the need to make your life shareable.

Perhaps the question isn't whether we should post our experiences, but whether we can still experience them without thinking about posting.

So, before you hit record next time, pause for a moment.

Ask yourself: Do I genuinely want to share this, or have I become so used to documenting my life that privacy now feels like a missed opportunity?

You might discover that some moments are better lived than uploaded.
