My name is Toluwalase Oluwarotimi Oluwaremilekun,
Popularly known as Kjb-remilex . An indigene of kogi State, I'm 19 years old, An artiste, songwriter and professional photographer.
Oh nice! Whats your background, growing up like??
Kjb Remilex: Hmmm!
I was born into an average family, my dad works With Julius Berger Company while my mom is a Business woman, am born into a family of 11 and I'm number 3.
When did your music career kick-start?
Kjb Remilex : my music career started in 2015 when I had my First studio session. I released my First single titled "Mummy mi" in 2018, which I dedicated to my mum.
So aside you which other of your Siblings does music and what was your parents reaction when you decided on doing music?
Kjb Remilex : Ehm!
Am the only one who does music for now.
I could remember when I started years back, my mom has been very supportive ... I recall she used to call me names like Obaohun (king of voice) while my dad didn't really accept the fact that I chose music not until recently when I dedicated a song to him on his birthday from there he took interest
Wow interesting! So what genre of music do you do basically?
Kjb Remilex : Afro beat, Fuji tunnel
Wow amazing! You got signed to Bravemoon entertainment a leading music movement in Cross River State... How did that happen and how was your reaction when the news was real?
Kjb Remilex : On that faithful day, I left my base to Calabar to record a song at BraveMoonEnt official studio, I had booked Whena session with Strategy which happens to be the CEO but when it got to my recording time I discovered that he wasn't the one on seat to record me.
I insisted that i wasn't going to record until I meet Strategy in person but due to time factor I decided to record in his absence, but immediately I finished my sessions Strategy step in and review the work and he fell in Love with it and then seek for the opinion of his manager.
And that was how I got signed.
Your Single "Prayer" made waves online and offline and it even won "Best Alternative Single"
And you have recently Anounoticed New single to wrap up the year tell us about this new sound?
Kjb Remilex : Sugar bobo is a reality song that talks about the other side of a sugar mummy saga, it tells about the ills of prostitution and sexual abuse Abuse
Oh wow! When is the release date for Sugar Bobo?
Kjb Remilex : On the 28 of November which happens to be my birthday.
Interesting! So Where do you see yourself, music in the next 5years ?
Kjb Remilex: By the the
Grace of God, my music Will be topping chart by then.
Hopefully, Your song "Prayers" was nominated for "Best Alternative Single" at the NMCA 2019 and You emerged Winner, How's your experience?
Kjb Remilex: Yes!
Well everything happen so fast, the nomination came in as a big surprise, and winning the award was even a bigger surprise!
