Cross River State Partners With Boomplay To Generate Revenue For Musicians Via Their Music

Cross River State Government partners with Boomplay on digital music publishing !

The government of Cross River State, under the leadership of his Excellency Sen. prof. Ben Ayade, has reaffirmed it’s resolve to establish links with digital publishing platforms, for the promotion of creative works by Cross River talents.

This was confirmed in a statement made by the Special Assistant to the Governor on Entertainment, Effiom Bassey, popular known by his stage name Trombone, during a visit to officials of Trassnet, owners of Boomplay music app on Wednesday, October 16, 2019.

Effiom Trombone was received by the General Manager of Boomplay, Mr Dele Kadiri and his Marketing counterpart, Edidiong Ekong.

According to him, hundreds of musicians and thousands of music lovers converge annually in Calabar every December, the partnership will have thousands of musicians in Cross River patronise the music app as aided by the government through Calabar Festival events.

In his response, Mr Kadiri thanked the governor’s aide for the courtesy visit, identifying it as a foundation to a mutually beneficial working relationship between their company and Cross River state government. He said Boomplay is not relenting in it’s bid to remain Africa’s biggest music streaming platform with millions of users across the continent.

In conclusion, they both chorused that when modalities are concluded, it will be a pleasure to be in Calabar, also to experience the much publicised carnival.
